Sunshine Is Coming To Brown Park

The baseball and softball fields at Brown Park are going to get a makeover this weekend as community groups along with other volunteers are teaming up to get the park on upgrade. They are calling it, Sunshine Day At The Park.

If you love to clean and paint then the volunteers who are committed to sprucing up the park tomorrow between 8 a.m. and noon could sure use your help as well.

All the kids that will be coming to play sports will see that things are being refreshed for a new year of play.

The following groups will be coming together tomorrow to refurbish things at the park for little league players:

• Lafayette Police Department
• Lafayette Fire Department
• Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office
• 100 Black Men Of Greater Lafayette
• Super 1 Willow Street Employees
• Kiwanis Southwest Members

Volunteers will be pressure washing, painting, and cleaning up the park.
