Suspect Sought After Encounter with Teen Girl in Lafayette
A 14-year-old girl out jogging on Sunday evening says a man followed her, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is now looking for him.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Robley Drive. The teenager says a truck, similar to the one pictured above, followed her into a nearby neighborhood. The suspect then allegedly rolled down his window and tried to talk to her. The teen says she ran away through a nearby field when the suspect unbuckled his seatbelt.
A press release from the Sheriff's Office says the suspect is described as a white male (45-60 years old) with dark colored and grey hair. His face was unshaven with mostly grey stubble. He was wearing a "Go Army" hat.
