Taco Bell Hotel: The Fast Food Chain Is Opening a Resort This Summer
A Taco Bell hotel? You better believe it. Soon a temporary holiday destination will celebrate the restaurant frequented by thrifty musicians on the road.
The fast food chain is going where no taco shop has gone before with the opening of its very own resort this summer. Billed as a completely immersive Taco Bell experience, the pop-up resort "The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort" is set to open just north of the border in Palm Springs, California, Aug. 9 for a limited time. Watch a short video teaser down toward the bottom of this post.
Announced by the Yum! Brands-owned subsidiary last week, the Taco Bell resort will feature "'Bell' hops and Baja Blasts, fire sauce and sauce packet floaties" as guests are treated to new menu options only available at the special hotel "destination inspired by tacos and fueled by fans," a May 16 press release highlighted.
"The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date," Taco Bell's Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg explained in the announcement. "It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect. Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy."
The so-called "Tacoasis" will also feature a taco-themed nail salon and a gift shop with exclusive apparel. Taco lovers hungry for a chance to stay at the resort can sign up here to be notified when reservations go live.
