Defensive end Wes Horton officially signed with the New Orleans Saints today.

Horton, 6-5, 265 lbs., spent the first 6 seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers after signing with them as an undrafted free agent in 2013 out of USC.

With career totals of 77 games played (38 starts), 94 tackles (65 solo), 15.5 sacks, 1 pass defensed, 6 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries, the Saints are hoping he can add to the New Orleans pass rush, who lost defensive end Alex Okafor to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency.

Horton's father played in the NFL, CFL and USFL, while his brother currently plays in the CFL.

Horton was suspended 4 games in 2015 by the NFL for violating the league's PED (performance enhancing drug) Policy after testing positive for a PED.

He played all 16 games last season in Carolina, starting in half of them.
