The 15-year-old boy who is accused of shooting to death a Jockey Lot employee in February is asking to be transferred to a juvenile detention center from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
The teen is accused in the Feb. 2 shooting death of 49-year-old Michael Patin, who worked at the Jockey Lot flea market off Interstate 49 near Carencro.
Deputies say they have several suspects in custody at this time, but because of the ages of those involved, they will not give any additional information out about the suspects.
