UL Lafayette will be facing another round of budget cuts

UL's Ragin' Cajun Football team arrived in New Orleans Tuesday and has been taking in all the hoopla tied to a bowl game. For the first time in 40 years UL is appearing in a bowl game, the R & L Carrier Bowl and Coach Mark Hudspeth's challenge is keeping the team focused on the prize. Today we spoke with Steve Peloquin of our sister station ESPN 1420 on "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" and Steve filled us in on the Cajun's activities thus far.

UL's Ragin' Cajun Football team heads to New Orleans Saturday for their first bowl appearance in 40 years. The Cajuns last bowl appearance was in 1970 at the Grantland-Rice Bowl.

New Orleans hotels are already booking up for possible bowl game appearances by the Ragin' Cajuns and the LSU Tigers.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has added a doctoral program in systems engineering to its Graduate School offerings.

UL Lafayette is not the only school seeing booming enrollment.

McNapsy Field on the UL Lafayette Campus will be the setting today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Cajun Camp event.  This event is open to members of the community who have a mental or physical disability.
