A shrimper in Louisiana who disappeared while trying to salvage his vessel has been found alive nearly a week later.

When first responders arrived Robert Trelo and his family had already sprung into action after hearing faint screams from the distance.

Coast Guard crews were scrambled Monday night when crews reported a medical emergency with a female passenger while the ship was still sailing down the Mississippi River.

The vessel is owned by the same company that owned the ill-fated Seacor Power lift boat. That lift boat capsized killing 13 back in 2021.

The U.S. Coast Guard is reporting that thermal imaging has possibly detected two survivors of the capsized Seacor Power lift boat.

The two sailors were lifted off of their disabled vessel via Coast Guard Helicopter.
