The U.S. Coast Guard is reporting that thermal imaging has possibly detected two survivors of the capsized Seacor Power lift boat, however, they are “still evaluating” the images according to reports.

WGNO says the Coast Guard, using thermal imaging equipment has detected two possible survivors "in the hull of the lift boat, Seacor Power."

Yesterday (04/15/21) a team of private divers was able to get close enough to the boat to knock on the hull. Unfortunately, divers say they did not hear a response.

On Tuesday, April 12, the Seacor Power lift boat left Port Fourchon with 19 crew members on board. At 4:30 pm that afternoon the lift boat capsized about 8 miles offshore as storms moved through the Gulf of Mexico. As of now, six crew members have been rescued, one crew member has died, and 12 crew members still remain unaccounted for.

It has now been over 63 hours since the Seacor Power capsized in the Gulf of Mexico.
