A new report from the state's legislative auditor revealed that former University Medical Center overcharged patients by nearly $395,000 for services that were not provided, and an emergency room nurse misappropriated nearly $26,000 in drugs.

UMC will now be known as University Hospital and Clinics as they are now part of the Lafayette General Health System.

Anyone with at least a bachelor's degree can become classroom teachers within a year.
