Wildlife and Fisheries spokesman Adam Einck says two endangered whooping cranes were found shot on Feb. 7 in Jefferson Davis Parish near Compton and Radio Tower Roads north of Roanoke.
The project to bring back the whooping cranes began in February 2011 when 40 of the birds were released into the 71,000 acres in White Lake Wetlands Conservation area.
There have been very few tips or leads into the death of an endangered whooping crane back in April, and now several people have joined together to help raise more money for the reward that could lead to information in the case.
