TEA Party of Lafayette members are questioning the feasibility and motivation behind the proposed comprehensive plan being pursued by the Lafayette City-Parish Government.  Today on "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" TEA Party member Joyce Linde said "members feel that a 20 year plan is unworkable and they question the motivation behind the plan".

Linde said the TEA Party is holding town hall meetings regarding the plan to get citizen input but she felt the turnout has been too good!  Even as a meeting facilitator Linde said "it was difficult to hear the ideas presented and questions raised by participants".  She suggested the "meeting in a box" format was much better suited for the input of ideas.

Unrelated to the comprehensive plan the TEA Party of Lafayette will host a town hall meeting this Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the South Regional Library on Johnston Street featuring Ryan Verret discussing the Obama Healthcare Plan.  In addition Dr. Kevin Roberts will discuss the First Amendment and how it applies to healthcare.
