Texas Powerball Winners – Texas Lottery Confirms Wednesday Wins

Many players of the Texas Lottery from El Paso to Amarillo to Paris to Port Arthur were still reeling from yesterday's lottery news of a $560 million jackpot winner. That big winner was not sold in Texas for the Mega Millions game but Lone Star Luck was still strong for that Tuesday drawing.

It was so strong, in fact, that it carried over to Wednesday night's Powerball drawing with the Texas Lottery. Powerball is a multi-state lottery game offered by lotteries in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

No, there wasn't a jackpot winner in last night's Powerball but two Texas tickets have been confirmed as $50,000 and $150,000 winners by our sources in Austin with the Texas Lottery.

Last night's estimated jackpot, as far as the annuity is concerned was $187.1 million, the lump sum cash payout was estimated to be $87 million when the ping pong balls came bounding out of the hopper. Here is how they landed.

Since there was a jackpot winner on Tuesday in the Mega Millions game that jackpot total has reset to $20 million for Friday night's drawing. The lump sum payout on the jackpot is estimated to be $9.4 million.
