Hey! I’m Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today!

With Black Friday behind us, Christmas season around the corner and Santa’s at the mall, I decided to go and talk to a class of kindergartners to hear what’s on their Christmas list. I was sure they would want electronics like Nintendo, iPads, or X-box! So this past Monday, I got my hall pass and went visit Mrs. Kin Landry’s kindergarten class at Broadmoor Elementary School. Ironically, they all had their letters to Santa that day and were dropping them off in the office.

I just knew nothing on their list could possibly resemble mine when I was their age. After all I’ve been around since the dinosaurs took over Jurassic Park!

However, Ava told me she wanted a Barbie, Jolie wished for a puppy, and Lubaba needed a toy cat. Ila had a Barbie Doll House on her list and Calvin a dog, Joshua a toy gun, Aiden a bow and arrow, Drew a scooter and Meredith a Pony. Avery wanted a kitty and Sophie a Slinky. And the biggest surprise… they wrote a letter to Santa! No one sent him a text!

Wait a minute! These are the same things I wanted for Christmas at 5 years old!

No one asked for an iPad or a Wii! I guess sometimes in life, there’s just not an app for that!

And I’m Tootie Landry and this is “Not Necessarily the News!”
