Tornado Damages Roof Of Baker Car Wash

BAKER, La. (AP) — A tornado touched down in Baker north of Baton Rouge causing some damage but no reports of injuries.

Police Chief Mike Knap tells WAFB TV (http://bit.ly/SRdknL ) the tornado damaged the roof of a car wash Monday morning on La. Highway 19. Trees and power lines were also damaged in the area.

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued tornado watches and severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
