Turner Industries Chooses Port Of Iberia

Modules and equipment for the petroleum industries are the mainstay of Turner Industries out of Baton Rouge. They have chosen the Port of Iberia for their new fabrication location.

The facility will become a permanent site. The announcement was made today by Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, Turner Industries President Stephen Toups, and Craig Romero who is the Executive Director of the Port of Iberia.

They manufacture huge modules for petroleum and other industries, and Toups says they picked the port of Iberia because they will be able to use that port to ship out up to 5,000 ton pieces of equipment to their customers across the globe. There were thirty total places where Turner could have located the facility.

When looking to expand our capabilities and services, Turner Industries considered available properties across the Gulf South and Eastern Seaboard. The flexibility and consistency of the diligent team at the port led to a simple decision. The Port of Iberia is the best strategic option for our company's for our company's future operations.
