Two Bossier Men Arrested On Child Porn Charges
The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of two men, in separate cases, on child pornography charges.
Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington announced in a pair of press releases the arrests of 44-year-old Robert Summers and 26-year-old Roger Johnson, both of Bossier City. Both men were arrested separately this week.
Summers was arrested on Wednesday April 7th, and charged with one count of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles and one count of Obstruction of Justice. The Obstruction of Justice charge stems from Summers attempting to destroy evidence in the case. He was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility, with a $235,000 bond.
On Thursday April 8th, Bossier Sheriff's Deputies arrested Johnson on five counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles. He was also booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility.
After the two men were arrested, Sheriff Whittington released this statement:
“Our detectives will not let up. We know this type of criminal behavior is happening all over our country, but we will not tolerate sexual abuse of children here in Bossier Parish. Our team of detectives are specifically trained with state-of-the-art forensic technology to find and capture these criminals.”
Prior to the second arrest, the Bossier Sheriff had released a statement as well, that first statement said:
“We say it over and over: ‘Pornography involving children is illegal, and our team of detectives will use the best forensics technology to investigate these cases’. You will be caught…and you will go to jail. The innocence of our young people is something we diligently serve to protect.”
In both cases, Bossier investigators are continuing the investigations, and say that more charges may be added.
