Two People Arrested In Lafayette’s OWI Checkpoint

28-year-old Vandy L. Hargrave and Niv D. Manor were arrested late Friday night/early Saturday morning on OWI charges during an OWI Checkpoint in the 1800 block of West Pinhook Road in Lafayette.

In addition to the OWI charge, Hargrave was also accused of Resisting an officer by giving false information and Misrepresentation While Booking.

Lafayette Police say 974 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of those vehicles, 33 drivers were stopped for secondary testing and 6 citations were issued for various violations.
