UL Lafayette Police Announce Arrest of Suspect in Bourgeois Park Shooting
22-year-Tyquan Trekel Marshall has turned himself in and has been charged with allegedly killing 23-year-old John Mitchell Sinegal Jr. at the park across from Bourgeois Hall on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette two weeks ago.
In a press release, Lt. Billy Abrams with the UL Lafayette Police Department says Marshall faces the following felony charges: one count of second degree murder, three counts of attempted first degree murder, and one count of carrying a firearm on school property.
He now sits in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
