The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are on the rise in one of the major college softball polls.

Louisiana is up two spots this week, to number 8, in the latest USA Today/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

UL defeated Campbell and UNC-Greensboro in non-conference action last week, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Georgia St. last weekend.

Louisiana, who is currently riding a 19-game win streak, is 42-4 on the season.

The Cajuns return to action on Wednesday evening, when they travel to take on Louisiana Tech in a non-conference tilt.

Oklahoma is once again the top-ranked team in the nation this week, with UCLA, Alabama, Washington, and Arizona rounding out the top five.

Florida St., Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, LSU are ranked 6-10, respectively.

At 11-15, it's Texas, Oklahoma St., Texas Tech, South Carolina, and Georgia, followed by Minnesota, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, and James Madison at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, Northwestern, Michigan, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and Colorado St. to round out the poll.
