Kip Judice may not be able to talk at the moment, but his message speaks volumes.

The Duson Police Chief had a serious health scare over the weekend that saw him rushed to a standalone emergency room in Scott where medical professionals literally saved his life.

Once stabilized, it was realized that Judice had suffered an acute respiratory attack that shut down his airway, making it impossible for him to breathe. His daughter documented the episode in a Facebook post.

Upon further investigation, a mass on Judice's vocal cords was identified as the cause of the attack (and more than likely the culprit behind Judice's signature raspy voice). Judice underwent surgery to get the mass removed on Monday and will be unable to speak for three days while he recovers.

But even though the Duson Police chief is unable to express himself vocally at the moment, he's still sending a powerful message to the incredible ER team who saved his life when minutes were literally the difference between life and death.

See more on Judice's miraculous treatment here via this story from The Advocate as we send well wishes to our friend and local leader while he hopefully makes a speedy recovery.

Get well soon, Kip!
