Louisiana State Police investigated a fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 3187 near Red Lick Road yesterday.

Troopers say 60-year-old Terry Thrasher was driving a three-wheel motorcycled when for unknown reasons, he crossed the center of the highway, traveled off the left side, and hit a tree.

Thrasher was not wearing a helmet, and he was thrown from his motorcycle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Evangeline Parish Coroner.

Troopers say routine toxicology tests are pending.

The crash happened around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.

Trooper remind drivers that anyone riding on a motorcycle is required by law to wear a helmet.
