U.S. Senator David Vitter joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today from Washington DC and discussed Louisiana's school voucher program, the Affordable Care Act and Congressional/Administration exemptions.

According to Senator Vitter,

Our program to offer scholarships or vouchers to poor kids in failing schools is really under assault by the Obama Justice Department.  They have brought this litigation to try to absolutely bring it to a screeching halt claiming it has racial implications in terms of the racial make-up of schools.  That's particularly ironic to me because over 90% of the kids being helped are African-American.

Although he has questioned  Secretary of Health and Hospitals Kathleen Sebeilus about the number of people who have actually signed up for Obamacare he has gotten no response.Vitter said,

At the end of the day people don't care about political posturing and debates and all that.  They want to understand results.  How it effects them, their families and their business.

When we asked if any progress was being made in his efforts to get all members of Congress and the Obama Administration to enroll in the Affordable Care program Vitter replied,

We're making progress in terms of getting the word out and the American people are nodding and understanding, signing our citizens petition at www.livebyyourlaws.com and show a lot of support.  We don't have a vote on the floor of the Senate yet.
