Washington Elementary in St. Landry Parish will close early today, Monday, May 24, because of a water issue with the town's main water line.

A break with the town's main water line means the school will have to close early today according to our news partners at KATC.

School closes at 11:45 this morning with officials asking parents to make every effort to pick up their kids from school. Bus riders will be dismissed right after the car riders leave.
