‘Wizard of Oz’ Back in Theaters for 80th Anniversary [VIDEO]
I, like most of us, have never actually seen the beloved classic film 'Wizard of Oz' in theaters. We've seen it on television countless times, and sang along, recited dialogue word for word, and screamed in fright at the Wicked Witch's flying monkeys for years. All from the comfort of our living room couches.
But, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the film's release, it is going back to theaters. On Sunday, January 27, Tuesday, January 29, and Wednesday, January 30, select theaters across the USA will screen the legendary tale written by L. Frank Baum, and originally called 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Fathom Events lets you put in your zip code to see if the special showing will be in your area.
Watch the remastered trailer below, and be transported right back to your childhood. Repeat after me...'There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home...'
