Yvette Girouard Happy To Be Welcomed Back Home
The women who started it all when it comes to Ragin' Cajuns Softball Yvette Girouard was surprised and honored when the administration decided to name the field at Lamson Park after her earlier this season.
Girouard spent 20 years coaching at Louisiana, Girouard compiled a combined 1,285 victories in her career which currently ranks seventh in NCAA history. She was the orginial architect to the Ragin' Cajuns program, starting it from scratch and built this program into a national powerhouse. While at UL she posted an astounding 759-250 record from 1981-2000.
In a recent interview done by the University, she detailed how happy she was to be welcomed back and how honored she was by it all.
