Family Escapes House Fire

A fire on Eraste Landry Road forces a mom and her children out of their home. Lafayette Firefighter spokesperson Alton Trahan says the fire originated in a closet for the central air condition. The fire then traveled to the attic, causing moderate damage. Trahan says they suspect a malfunction with the system caused the fire. Judy Duff and her children did not sustain any injuries.
