2 Crashes Force Closures On I-10 West In Lafayette Parish

UPDATE: Both lanes have re-opened on I-10 West at I-10/I-49 but the exit ramp is now blocked on I-10 West.

Traffic is backup up about 5 miles.

La. State Police are working two crashes that have forced two closures and traffic backups along I-10 West in Lafayette Parish.

I-10 West is closed at Louisiana Avenue and at I-49. Each crash has caused traffic to back up for about 2-3 miles.

Drivers are advised to take an alternate route.
