2 Parks Men Charged In Connection With Shooting

rcation, Martin Frank Sonnier armed himself with a handgun and attempted to locate Daniel Lee. Shortly afterward, a vehicle used by Lee was seen by Sonnier leaving the area. Sonnier then fired at least 9 shots at the vehicle striking it at least 6 times. The vehicle was occupied by Daniel Lee’s wife and fortunately, no one was injured by the gunfire.

Daniel Lee was charged with Simple Battery and was given a Summons.

Martin Frank Sonnier was charged with the following:

Attempted 2^nd Degree Murder

Aggravated Assault

Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property

Simple Battery of a Juvenile

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Martin Frank Sonnier was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and is currently awaiting bond.
