Acadian Ambulance Busy In NOLA

Acadian Ambulance is a mainstay at the New Orleans Saints home games. But this weekend, they will be performing official duties for the Super Bowl. Acadian’s Medical Director Dr. Chuck Burnell will be joined by 68 medics and the EMS bike team as the official emergency medical service provider for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Physicians from Ochsner’s will also be manning first-aid stations to provide as much on-site treatment as possible. Planning for the big event began more than a year ago with over 100 meetings with the NFL, FBI and several other large agencies. On the streets of the Crescent City, Acadian Ambulance has been supplementing New Orleans EMS since January 27th with several ambulances to ensure the safety of residents and visitors so that emergency needs are met quickly should the need arise. They will continue this service through February 5th.
