Acadiana High has a big announcement.

The school announced today that starting this Wednesday (March 13, 2019) it will be strictly enforcing the school board's policy in regards to cell phones on campus.

If anyone is caught being one on a phone, it will reportedly be confiscated. The message, or warning, does not indicate if this policy includes extra-curricular activities on the school's campus.

We spoke to Acadiana High Principal David LeJeune and he says that the school will simply be enforcing the school board's policy that if a phone is seen or heard, it will be taken from the student.

This all comes after a fight at Acadiana High School was caught on camera and posted on social media. You may recall it was that video that landed a mom in jail.
