Aldi is Finally Coming to Louisiana!
When it comes to my wish list of stores and/or restaurants that we need in the Shreveport/Bossier City area, Aldi is near the top. There's a few in East Texas, but I don't want to drive an hour + to pick up food for the week. The latest announcement from the discount-grocery store chain might make a trip to Aldi a whole lot shorter!
According to WBRZ, the store known for low prices and rentable shopping carts is headed to the Sportsman's Paradise! The chain announced yesterday that they would be rolling out 100 new locations across the nation, and one will be right here in Louisiana!
The grocery giant also announced their intention to add curbside pickup to 500 more stores in the U.S. in order to help keep crowds down in their stores. Along with an increased sanitization schedule, the company hopes the move will help keep COVID-19 outbreaks from jeopardizing operations or putting their staff and customers in harm's way.
Unfortunately, the details stop there. Where exactly? That we don't know, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Shreveport/Bossier City location announcement in the very near future.
