Lafayette and Acadiana Area Garbage Pickup For Wednesday
The arrival of Isaac has disrupted the daily routine of Acadiana residents. Now that disruption includes trash service. Allied Waste has announced these changes:
- Lafayette, Allied Waste and the Recycling Foundation will not run their garbage and recycling collection routes on Wednesday due to the anticipated stormy weather. Regular Wednesday customers will receive garbage and recycling collection on Thursday. Regular Thursday and Friday customers served by Allied Waste or the Recycling Foundation will have waste collection on the day following their regularly scheduled collection day.
- St. Martin
- Iberia
- Gordon's Disposal will also push Wednesday pickup to Thursday.
- Evangeline
- Acadia
Pickup will resume on Thursday once roads have been declared safe and the weather subsides. Friday pickup will be delayed until Saturday.
