A boil water advisory has been put into effect in the town of Arnaudville.

According to our news partners at KATC, the town shut down its water system Monday and Tuesday because of a water upgrade. Now, a questionable microbiological quality in the water supply has forced the town to issue the boil water advisory.

Here is a list of affected areas:

  • Market Street from East Street to Canal Street
  • All of Magnolia Street
  • St. Landry from Magnolia Street to Canal Street (Hwy 347)
  • St. Joseph Street from Magnolia Street to Canal Street (Hwy 347)
  • Alleman Street
  • Canal Street (Hwy 347) from Market Street to Bushville Hwy (Hwt 347)
  • Robin Street
  • Noel Street

Officials say to make sure to boil your water for one full minute in a clean container after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
