Baton Rouge Area Chamber Hires Jindal Aide
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber has announced the hiring of a Jindal administration official.
Michael DiResto, spokesman for the Division of Administration, starts next month as BRAC's senior vice president for economic competitiveness.
BRAC's president and CEO Adam Knapp, in a statement Monday, said DiResto "brings a wealth of public policy experience, passion and intellect to the role of leading BRAC's public policy group."
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/15xfi2J) DiResto will direct the chamber's economic analysis efforts.
For the Jindal administration, he focused on legislative relations, communications and other tasks. He previously worked for the LouisianaRepublican Party and then-U.S. Rep. Richard Baker, R-Baton Rouge.
