Officials say the move was necessary after the water system had some issues with water pressure.

The boil water advisory is system-wide, and they are reminding you to boil your water for a full minute before you consume it or use it to prepare food.

The boil advisory will be in effect until further notice.

This all began when there was a noticeable drop in water pressure for the whole water supply for the Jeanerette Water System.
