Lafayette Bomb Threat Used As Distraction
A bomb threat at Our Lady of Fatima School turned out to be part of a greater plan. Corporal Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says the school got the bomb threat earlier today. The call was traced back to a pay phone on West University Avenue.
Two suspects were taken into custody. Police say the pair were planning on robbing a bank and called in the bomb threat in order to distract police.
Michael Gott and Tony Younger, Jr are both in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on charges of planning to commit a robbery and calling in a fake bomb threat.
