Superior Grill In Lafayette Teases Anxious Customers
Lafayette, LA (KPEL News) - Folks in Lafayette and the surrounding areas who are familiar with Superior Grill are beyond ready for the Mexican restaurant to open its doors on Kaliste Saloom. Louisiana patrons to the Baton Rouge or New Orleans locations have become fans over the years and can't wait to enjoy the Tex-Mex food closer to home.
Drivers along one of Lafayette's busiest thoroughfares may have noticed the sign go up, a sign (pun intended) that opening day is closer and a big tease for diners waiting to order a margarita and fajitas.
That was at the beginning of April. Reports have read that the restaurant was hoping to open in March 2024.
That, obviously, hasn't happened yet.
Superior Grill Lafayette did begin hiring staff and pointing any would-be servers to their website. The landing page provides information about how to apply and an employment link, and simply states:
Opening 2024.

When they do open the doors, Lafayette will be the fifth location in Louisiana. Superior Grill fans love their margaritas and the food. Whether it's burritos, nachos, quesadillas, or just hanging with some chips and salsa, the Superior atmosphere is a draw for diners of all ages.
We know the driveway was paved. We can see it, and LCG closed Kaliste Saloom while it happened. We know they are and have hired folks. Now, we wait. And we all wait patiently (or impatiently), Superior Grill Lafayette is teasing us with a message on their sign. This may be the definition of "playing with my emotions." Soon isn't soon enough! Can it be today?
