Last weekend the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns traveled to the league leaders.

This week they play host to the league's hottest team.

The Texas State Bobcats (28-13, 12-6 Sun Belt) have won seven in a row, the latest a walk off win over Texas, 7-6, at Bobcat Ballpark Tuesday night.

A look at the league stats will give you an indication of how well the Bobcats are playing.  Texas State is second in the league in hitting (.281), second in ERA (4.24) and first in fielding percentage (.976).  Louisiana, meanwhile, ranks seventh in hitting (.264), sixth in ERA (4.79) and fourth in fielding (.973)

Louisiana coach Tony Robichaux has tabbed Brandon Young (2-4, 4.04 ERA) as the Friday starter, while Jack Burk (1-1, 3.58) will be the Saturday starter.  The Sunday starter is listed as TBA.

Coach Ty Harrington has had a pretty consistent starting rotation in league play and he will send Nicholas Fraze (6-3, 4.65) to the mound Friday night.  Hunter McMahon (4-4, 4.83) gets the ball on Saturday, while Connor Reich (5-1, 2.94) will start on Sunday.

The Cajuns (21-15, 8-10) will look to snap a four game losing streak, the latest a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to Southern Mississippi as the home team scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth for the win.

This is Alumni Weekend, with nearly 80 former players scheduled to come back to M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

The Cajuns lead the all time series 22-13, but Texas State has won the last three meetings, including an 11-1 win in last year's SBC Tournament.
