The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team was looking to put Friday night's loss behind them and try to even up the series against Appalachian State. The Mountaineers would get the things going early but the Cajuns had a big 6th inning to capture the momentum. The Cajuns were able to get a hard fought 7-4 win to even the series.

The Mountaineers would take the lead in the top of the first after a lead off triple and an RBI single. Neither team could get anything going until the 5th inning when Hayden Cantrelle continued his hot streak and hit an RBI single to tie the game. The Mountaineers would take the lead right back on an RBI double.

The bottom of the 6th was when all o the fun started for Louisiana. The Cajuns would start the scoring on a sacrifice fly from Handsome Monica. The Cajuns would then get walked four straight times inducing a bases loaded walk to score a run to take the lead. Cantrelle would add 2 more RBIs to his total when he hit a 2-RBI single.

The Cajuns would then get a gift as a balk would allow a run to score. The Cajuns would add another run in the inning when Brennan Breaux would hit an RBI single. The Cajuns would get all of those runs off of just 2 hits in the inning. The Cajuns would lead 7-2 after 6 innings of play.

The Mountaineers would add a run in the top of the 7th off of an RBI double to try and climb back into the game and make it a 7-3 Cajuns lead. The Mountaineers would add another run in the top of the 9th but the Cajuns were able to finish them off for the victory.

The Cajuns will finish off the series against the Mountaineers with a 10:30 first pitch. The Cajuns will then finish off the home stand against Tulane before traveling to Troy next weekend to face against the Trojans.
