CASA Needs Your Help
Want to stand up for a child? CASA of Sola is an organization that lets adults be the voice for a child who has been abused or neglected.
Kade Turner, who works with CASA of Sola spoke to Bernadette Lee and Rob Kirkpatrick on "Acadiana's Morning News" today to let people know volunteers are needed.
CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, is a local program that pairs a child with an adult who will speak that child's wishes to judges, lawyers and other system figures.
Turner says you can find out about CASA, and if it's right for you, each Monday. There is an informational session each Monday morning at 10, and each Monday evening at 5.
He asks that you call 269-5111 to let them know that you will be coming to find out more information about all the different aspects of the program.
