Caddo Parish leaders could vote to use tax money to move the Confederate Monument from in front of the courthouse. But a vote of the full Caddo Parish Commission is not expected until the first meeting in December.

The long range planning committee has voted to set aside up to $500,000 to move the monument, if necessary. Commissioner Steven Jackson says that is only one option. He says the Daughters of the Confederacy could decide to move it themselves, or even sell it to a private entity which might fund the move.

We also want your opinion. Do you think any public money should be used to fund the move of this monument?

We asked him about all of the possible options.
