Political consultant Roy Fletcher talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his thoughts on the upcoming run-off election, and his prediction that up to $20 million could be spent by candidates across the state.

Fletcher, a Shreveport native, tells KEEL listeners that most of that money will come from national political action committees, who are forbidden by law from consulting with the politicians of the same parties they represent.

Fletcher expounds at louisianaradionetwork.com:

"Fletcher says the money will pour in from both national parties and governors associations, along with additional funding from partisan actors like George Soros and Charles Koch.

Fletcher says to expect an ad blitz, unlike anything you’ve seen in a statewide election. You will not be able to escape the constant political messaging."

Fletcher, President of political consulting firm Roy Fletcher, Inc., says that he anticipates a John Bel Edwards victory in the governor's race, but adds that it could be one of the closest in Louisiana history.
