KATC TV 3 Meteorologist Dave Baker joined 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie' today to discuss Tropical Storm Debby and record setting heat.

According to Baker,

"Looking at the five-day forecast it looks like the center of circulation probably won't reach the Florida coast until later this week.  This is kind of like what we went through with Allison a few years back where you keep getting hit over and over with heavy rain."

Baker said Tropical Storm Debby is keeping our humidity low with northerly winds pushing humid conditions offshore. Fortunately, for Acadiana, Debby will not pose any threat to our area. Dave explained the reasons why Debby shifted path the way it did, and how wind shear is affecting its center of circulation. Adding to the discussion, Dave also discussed how the Northerly winds are affecting the temperature in the state and what precautions to take when the temperatures reach the triple-digits.
