Downtown Lafayette Unlimited and the Downtown Development Authority CEO will be resigning his post as of August 10, 2018.

Geoff Dyer, who has held the position since he was appointed Interim CEO in 2016, has accepted a position with a group in Calgary, Canada.

Dyer says,

"It has been my pleasure to serve over the past five years, and I am grateful for the exceptional staff and the many folks in the Downtown who have been engaged in representing the interests of Downtown. I am also thankful for the many collaborations and resources from other organizations who have been there for support.

The search to fill Geoff Dyer's post has begun, and anyone who is interested in filling the post can send their resume information to resume@downtownlafayette.org.

Downtown Lafayette Unlimited Baord President Mike Delcambre says,

"In the last sixteen months, Geoff has produced proven leadership and a vision for Downtown Lafayette. He has led the efforts to lift the Liquor Moratorium, implementation of the new parking meters, the creation of the Downtown Management Committee, revamped Downtown Alive!, the implementation of new street lights and more small wins too long to list. Downtown Lafayette is in a better place from Geoff's leadership".
