Death Of Unidentified Woman Being Investigated

At approximately 4:00 this morning deputies from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office responded to a report of woman on the LA 182 Berwick/Morgan City bridge. The woman was unresponsive and the St. Mary Parish Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene. Detectives are working to identify the woman and notify next of kin. The woman's death is under investigation. The bridge was closed for three hour for emergency responders and investigators to work the scene.
