Embattled School Bus Driver Retires

Harold Thibeaux, a Lafayette school bus driver who accidentally dragged a student to his death opted to retire yesterday rather than face the possibility of being terminated by the school board last night. 

Harold Thibeaux turned in his paperwork just minutes before the board meeting.  Thibeaux is not facing criminal charges after LaDerion Miller's death, but is facing a civil suit.  Thibeaux says he thought the boy got on the bus with his cousin that morning, but instead his jacket was caught in the door and he was drugged under the bus.
