Eunice Teacher Pleads Not Guilty In ‘Sexting’ Case
A woman who used to teach at Eunice High School was expected to be in court yesterday.
Instead, Jacqueline Fruge, who resigned in 2012, did not show up in District Judge Ellis Daigle's court for her scheduled arraignment, but entered a not guilty plea to an obscenity charge.
She had notified the court ahead of time about what plea she would enter.
Fruge is accused of sending sexually explicit photographs of herself to a boy while she was a teacher.
According to police, Fruge was booked on the charges last year after allegedly sending electronic images of herself to the student.
Police say students told faculty members and administrators at the school about the pictures, but no action was taken by the school.
