Former U.S. Rep. Joseph Cao of New Orleans has a new job.
Cao, who lost a re-election bid last year, was the nation's first Vietnamese-American congressman. He is now working for the independent agency that administers BP's $20 billion oil spill claims fund. According to Cao aide Murray Nelson, Cao's job is to help members of the Vietnamese community affected by the Gulf oil spill - from Texas to Florida - in their communications with claims administrator Kenneth Feinberg.
Cao was with Feinberg on Monday during a visit to Grand Isle.
