Father, Son Arrested On Marijuana Charges In Livingston
LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) — Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a father and his son after deputies found three marijuana plants growing inside their home.
Deputies tell The Advocate 44-year-old Cary Caruso Sr. and 19-year-old Derek Caruso were booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on one count each of cultivation of schedule I drugs.
Sheriff Jason Ard says deputies had received drug-related complaints about the Carusoes' house.
Ard says detectives went to the home Dec. 10 and smelled marijuana inside.
He says Cary and Derek Caruso each posted bail of $100,000 and were released from the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
It was unclear whether the father and son have an attorney.
