Fire Officials Investigate Fatal Pineville Explosion

The Louisiana Fire Marshal's Office investigators are on the scene of a fatal explosion in Pineville.

Spokesman for the fire marshal's office, Ashley Rodrigue said one victim was killed while operating a forklift that exploded at the Proctor & Gamble facility.

Rodrigue said the fire was limited to the equipment involved and did not spread to any other areas of the facility.

As of 1 p.m., the scene was still active.
